Saint Patrick School was established prior to the church in 1872. Local families wished to educate children in the Catholic tradition and prioritized the building of a school. A vibrant Catholic community soon led to the formation of St. Patrick Church. Initially, the school was staffed by the Sisters of Christian Charity. Their fidelity to Catholic values and high-quality education continued throughout our school's transition from a religious to a lay staff.
The current faculty is a dedicated community of educators who treat Catholic education as their life's work. The faculty's average tenure is 15 years with some as long as 45 years. The majority of the faculty possesses an advanced degree in the field of education with two earned doctorates and ten master's degrees. Over one-third of the educators on staff possess a New Jersey State Teacher of Students with Disabilities certification. St. Patrick School's commitment to high-quality education and Catholic values continues to this day through the hard work and dedecation of our faculty and staff.
For our 150 years, the community of St. Patrick School has been and continues to be dedicated to the Gospel message of love, hope, and service to all. While witnessing the message of Jesus Christ, the school enables its students to acquire the knowledge and values needed to prepare them to be active members of a global society. We are trusted to nurture the faith formation of each child. We embrace the diverse learning styles of all students and seek to foster achievement and challenge every student to reach their academic potential by supporting creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and good communication. We at St. Patrick School promote the ongoing enhancement of our faith community through academic knowledge and service to others. The desire for Catholic education and tradition exists today as families seek our school’s academic excellence partnered with Catholic values.
